Rattan is a fibre obtained from the leaves of the Rattan palm. It grows quickly and it is a renewable and sustainable resource, making it eco-friendly.

Woven rattan impresses with its plain, even braided shape and is suitable for creating special decorative effects and trendy DIY decorations, e.g to adorn the framework of small frames, storage boxes, plant pots, trays and much more besides.

You can work with this material in its dry state or smooth it out quickly with a steam iron to make the braid, which is naturally rolled up, flat. But you can also leave it to soak in water for around 20 minutes, drain it to give it desired shape and lie it down flat.

Rattan wickerwork is easy to cut and glue, and thanks to its woven structure, it can also be embroidered.
